Lina Nielsen is a talented Olympic track and field athlete, who has earned great fame for her talents as a runner and hurdler. Having recently claimed Bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in the 4x400m relay, Lina is now hired as a motivational speaker to inspire the next generation of budding athletes. In addition to sharing how she has achieved peak performance as an elite athlete, Lina also uses her platform to raise awareness of multiple sclerosis – a condition that she was personally diagnosed with at 17. From athletic performance to offering hope to those diagnosed with chronic conditions, Lina Nielsen is a truly motivational speaker.
Back in 2015, Lina burst onto the scene with her outstanding performance at the European Junior Championships – claiming a Gold medal in the 4x400m relay with an impressive time of 3:34.36. Two years later, Lina competed at the European U23 Championships, placing 4th in the 4x400m relay. In 2021, Lina added more medals to her growing tally, winning Gold in the 400m hurdles and Silver in the 4x400m relay at the European Team Championships. In 2024, Lina joined her team at the World Indoor Championships, claiming Bronze in the 4x400m relay. Once more in 2024, Lina demonstrated her prominence on track, winning Bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with her team in the 4x400m relay.
In addition to her talents as an Olympic athlete, Lina is also a trained yoga teacher, featured as a yoga instructor on the fitness app Fiit. In 2022, Lina revealed that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a diagnosis she received at age 17 that she chose to keep private for nine years. Using her platform and prominence as an athlete, Lina advocates for MS awareness and sheds light on aspects of MS that are often unknown. In addition to using her own platforms to spread awareness, Lina also partnered with Sky Sports to create a three-part documentary titled “Living with Multiple Sclerosis”, in which she shared her experience of being diagnosed with MS and giving hope to others who have also received a diagnosis of a chronic condition. Continuing her advocacy for MS, Lina is also working on publishing a cookbook with her sister which emphasises the importance of nutrition in managing chronic illness and athletic performance.
Determined to break Sally Gunnell’s 30+ year record for the 400m hurdles, Lina continues to train tirelessly. Amongst her training commitments, Lina is now hired as a motivational speaker, sharing how she has not let adversity stop her from excelling in her sport, inspiring others to follow in her footsteps. Passionate about wellbeing, Lina uses her platform to raise awareness for MS and encourages others to support important causes. If you are looking for a motivational speaker, who not only shares their sporting successes but also carries a really important message of chronic illness awareness, hire Lina Nielsen today.
