Lewis Richardson is an Olympic Bronze Medallist and Professional Boxer with Queensbury Promotions. He was the only Team GB boxer to take home a medal from the 2024 Paris Olympics. Having competed in the renowned middleweight division, Lewis’s goal is to become world champion, fuelled by grit, strength, and raw determination.
Coming from a council estate in Colchester, Lewis’s powerful journey of resilience, discipline, and mindset has seen him reach the Olympic Podium. Beginning his official boxing career with GB Boxing in 2018, Lewis went on to achieve his MSc from Sheffield Hallam University in 2022. He qualified for the Paris Olympics after missing out on Tokyo 2020 due to stress fractures, only to be required to drop a weight class after the 75kg category was removed from the Olympic programme. Despite this, Lewis’s drive and passion for boxing saw him achieve a bronze medal after losing out at the semi-final stage.
Finding structure and purpose through the sport, Lewis holds various accolades such as 4x National Champion, 2018 GB Champion, 2019 Olympic Test Event Champion, Belgrade Winners Champion, 2021 Bocskai Memorial, 2022 Gee Bees and Tammer Tournament Champion, 2023 Algarve Box Cup Champion, and the 2023 Boxam Elite Champion, demonstrating his commitment and will to achieve greatness. Lewis is also an advocate for mental health and emboldens people to become their best selves rather than comparing themselves to others.
