Laura Flessel-Colovic

Laura Flessel-Colovic is an incredible French Épée Fencer and former Minister of Sports who is renowned for her accomplishments within her fencing career. Throughout her impressive career Laura has won 5 Olympic Medals, 2 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze. Soon enough Laura gained international recognition after achieving bronze at the 1995 World Championships. More recently, Laura briefly served as France’s Minister of Sports, where she worked on promoting sports as a means of social integration and health improvement. Further using her success and fame for good, Laura enlisted the help of other notable athletes and campaigned against discrimination in sports. Aside from competing, Laura has taken part in media events such as providing commentary for the 2016 Summer Olympics. She also took part in a season of Danse Avec Les Stars. Although she doesn’t compete anymore, Laura focusses her career on supporting sports management and advocacy, mainly throughout fencing and charitable initiatives.
