
Kamran Khan is a skilled transformation specialist with over a decade of experience leading project and business change across charity, local government, higher education, the NHS and regulatory services. Currently the Volunteer Director at Pride and Education Conference, where he provides project and governance leadership for the charities activities, Kamran has a wealth of experience driving customer-centred change and navigating ambiguity to foster impactful and sustainable results. Now a sought-after speaker, Kamran shares his insights on everything from diversity and inclusion, and risk and issue management to managing stakeholder relationships and data-driven decision making.
Kamran’s career is built on a strong academic foundation, he received his BA in Geography and French from Queen Mary University of London before beginning his career at KSS Deanery, taking on the role of HR Administrator before becoming the Medical Workforce Recruitment Officer, where he led the recruitment process for over 500 staff. In 2012, Kamran became the Project Manager at General Dental Council before brief tenures at rightmove.co.uk and Ofsted. Then, in 2014, Kamran joined NHS Professionals as a Programme and Operations Manager where he worked to streamline the recruitment process. Recognised for his skills and abilities, in 2016, Kamran became a Senior Project Manager, where he was integral to implementing large-scale multi-workstream changes. In 2017, Kamran joined Southwark Council as a Business Transformation Manager before becoming the council’s Head of Organisational Transformation where he oversaw service redesign, digital transformation and cultural change initiatives.
In recent years, Kamran has continued to take on positions to hone his skills in organisational transformation. In 2021, he became the Director of Operations of the LGBT Foundation, where he over saw a multi-million pound budget and managed business operations and governance for the external-facing delivery of the charity. In 2022, Kamran moved into higher education and became a Senior Project Management Consultant at King’s College London before becoming a Projects and Change Consultant with the Greater London Authority. Kamran is currently lending his expertise and skills to the Pride in Education Conference as a Volunteer Director or Policy, Governance and Delivery.
