Kameese Davis

Kameese Davis is a mother, entrepreneur, and visionary in the growing field of Afro hair care. As the founder & CEO of Nylah’s Naturals, a ground-breaking, plant-based hair growth brand catered towards black women, she is an innovator in personalised, holistic treatments for health, beauty, and wellness. 

After being diagnosed with Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia, a hair loss condition that mainly affects black women, Kameese failed to find a product that would help. So, she created her own. In 2020, she established Nylah’s Naturals, inspired by her daughter, who suffered from seborrheic dermatitis. With a focus on formulas that would not only nourish textured hair, but were also non-toxic, natural and effective, Kameese’s brand was born. In 2021, she took her business onto BBC's Dragons' Den, where she was offered a £50,000 investment for 40% equity from Sara Davies. Most recently, Kameese was one of the winners of Channel 4 and Lloyds’ Black in Business Initiative, where she won £150,000 of free advertising airtime on Channel 4. 

Growing her business to the value of £3 million as of 2025, Kameese has earned various other investments and awards. She secured £540,000 from the Birmingham Co-Investment Fund, making history as the largest capital raised by a Black Woman in Birmingham. Her products were recognised at the 2025 Green Parent Natural Beauty Awards with the Gold Winner – Best Shampoo and Winner – Best Hair Care Buy. 

With appearances in The Independent, Cosmopolitan, Metro, Vogue, Women’s Health, and more, Kameese is a figurehead in Black beauty, creating essential products steeped in love, heritage, and science-backed wellness. Through her work, Kameese is redefining conversations around Black haircare and building a community rooted in confidence, identity, and trust. She recently spoke at the Black Business Show in Birmingham, sharing her story as a black female business owner and inspiring growth, empowerment, and continued greatness.
