Sharmadean Reid

Sharmadean Reid is a renowned creative consultant and the Founder of The Stack World – a network for leaders, founders and entrepreneurs that empowers women in business. Best known for her role as Founder of WAH Nails, Sharmadean has amassed a great deal of expertise in managing successful businesses.

Having completed her BA (Hons) in Fashion Communication from the University of Arts London, she worked at some of the leading fashion brands including Asos.com and Nike Global. In 2009, she launched WAH Nails, a nail art boutique that revolutionised the salon industry. Sharmadean is also the Founder of Beautystack, a networked marketplace app for beauty professionals. With Beautystack, Sharmadean became one of the first black women to raise venture capital funding in the UK.

With 20 years of experience in the beauty tech and media industries, Sharmadean has built an incredible repertoire of work that is rooted in innovation. She was appointed MBE in 2015, owing to her service to women and beauty. Sharmadean is also invested in creating communities and networks that foster equity and power amongst women. She has also had a column called “Bossing It” in The Guardian.

In 2021, Sharmadean was invited to speak on a panel about Jobs of the Future with Rishi Sunak, a testament to her reverence in her field. She was also awarded the Veuve Clicquot Bold Future Award in 2021. Host of the Executive Realness podcast, Sharmadean is often invited to speak on other podcasts and has also spoken on Bloomberg TV.
