Julia brings nearly twenty years of senior leadership experience across Europe and beyond. Before establishing She Shapes AI, she was the Founder and CEO of The Futures Project, a nonprofit focused on innovation, technology, and social impact. Julia was also the Founding Director of the Global Solutions Initiative Foundation and a National Expert Officer for the European Commission, spearheading their task force on the development and implementation of new policy frameworks for research.
Currently, Dr. Stamm is the Director of She Shapes AI, who, through their “She Shapes AI Awards”, empowers women in the AI field. Under her leadership, projects have reached over 90 countries, partnered with the United Nations, and influenced EU policy discussions. Dr Julia was a Fellow at the Centre for Global Governance and a Lecturer in Executive Education at the Hertie School. She has also been named a Responsible Leader by the BMW Foundation and received the Women Leader in International Award.
