Juan Verde

Juan Verde is an internationally renowned government and corporate leadership strategist, sustainability advocate, and founder of the non-profit Advanced Leadership Foundation. As a former advisor to Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and providing key assistance in the 2020 Biden Presidential Campaign, Juan is a confident, knowledgeable, and influential keynote speaker, delivering talks at UN conferences, the World Economic Forum, Harvard Kennedy School, the World Bank, Google, Cisco, ThyssenKrupp, and many other prestigious organizations. 

Achieving a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Boston University, Juan held the position of Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Fellow, working as an International Trade Analyst for the US Department of Commerce at the Office of Latin America during Bill Clinton’s second presidential term. He obtained his Master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, founding Alamo Solutions, an international consulting firm dedicated to training the next generation of eco-conscious leaders, in the same year. During the Obama Administration, Juan served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe and Eurasia at the US Department of Commerce. At this time, he was also elected to the Alumni Board of Directors at Harvard Kennedy School of Government. 

As a Doctoral Candidate in Economics at Universidad Camilo Jose Cela in Madrid, Juan looks to constantly improve his own knowledge to deliver the highest quality of services and keynote speeches. He was recognised by Sachamama as one of the ‘100 Most Influential Latinos Committed to Climate Action’ and was invited to participate in the UN Climate Conference in 2019 due to his work with Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project. Juan was also decorated as a knight by the Sovereign Order of the Ecumenical Knights of Rhodes and Malta and has had his work acknowledged by Pope Francis. 

His non-profit has hosted over 10 international climate change summits in 5 different countries, including the Technological Innovation and Circular Economy Summit.
