José Morey

José Morey is a Puerto Rican Physician who is most widely known as the first Intergalactic Doctor, the Founder of Ad Astra Media LLC, and the Senior Advisor for NASA in a stellar career. He has used his expertise in big data innovation to help advise numerous companies all over the world in their pursuit of utilising the latest technologies. As the thought leader in his field, José has been requested by the likes of NASA360, Academy Health, the Radiologic Society of North America, the Senate of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the Chinese Medical Association to name a few, to share his knowledge on STEM and artificial intelligence, specialising on how this can be used within space and the healthcare industry.

José began his stellar career in medicine after graduating from the University of South Florida as a Doctor of Medicine, and then took an internship at the prestigious The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Upon graduating, José became a Radiologist for Staten Island University Hospital and then later the University of Pennsylvania Health System and a Medical Consultant for Stifel Nicolaus. José has held numerous prestigious positions throughout his career, most notably as the Senior Medical Scientist for IBM Watson Medical Sieve Project, the Associate Chief Health Officer for IBM, the Medical Technology and Artificial Intelligence Judge for NASA iTech, and the Special Advisor to the Director at the White House Office of Science and Technology.

Currently, José serves as a technology and business advisor for NASA, the Forbes Technology Council, US-Polish Alliance for Innovation, MIT, UVA and the African Innovation Alliance. Having experienced firsthand the discrimination people of Hispanic descent are subject to, José founded Ad Astra Media LLC wanting to make resources and educational content needed for a career in STEM more accessible for Hispanic people, encouraging more diversity in the field. José is also an Ambassador for DeepLearning.AI and sits on numerous boards including the American Board of Radiology, Aerospace Medical Association, The Space Foundation and the Planetary Society to name a few.
