Jordan is a serial young entrepreneur who gained an £80,000 investment from Deborah Meaden on Dragons’ Den back in 2014, when he was just 18. Jordan took the product on the programme that him and his grandad invented. The idea came about when they were trying to fit a curtain pole to a plasterboard wall. They created a prototype which worked and held a weight other fixings couldn’t match.
Spotting a gap in the market Jordan wanted to get his product to go that much further which he did. He has now grown a garden shed invention into a business worth over £14,000,000 with 28 employees. But this wasn’t his first experience of becoming a business man when Jordan was just 12 he created a business after playing the online game Runescape selling virtual online gold.
He noticed both himself and his friends were spending all their pocket money on buying the virtual gold. He contacted the Chinese company selling it to buy in bulk and then created profiles and website to sell it. The business was so clever the Chinese company bought it off of Jordan for £10,000.
The business came about when he dropped out of school due to being bullied and was being tutored at home. However he had trouble trying to schedule all the tutors. Jordan made a website allowing tutors and students to sign up and schedule all the lessons in a timetable, this business has recently been relaunched with new branding and improvements to the tutoring system.
Jordan’s story has gained a lot of attention and his business life has been full of success, he would love the opportunity to take you through his inspirational journey, giving you the inspiration and motivation to get where you want to be and to believe in yourself.
Giving listeners the entrepreneurial boost they need in order to follow their dreams and pursue their career to a happy and successful future.
