John Iannarelli, also known as FBI John, is a former FBI Special Agent where he served for 20 years, amassing an immense amount of knowledge in security and cyber security. During his time in the FBI, John participated in investigations such as the Oklahoma City Bombing, the 9/11 attack, the Sony Hack and Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords shooting. He also served with the FBI headquarters as their national spokesperson and worked as the NFL Security Representative. Now when hired as a speaker, John can share the knowledge he has gained from his distinguished service in the FBI to ensure businesses are fully prepared for life in the digital age, able to deliver talks on Cyber Security, active shooter prevention, terrorism threats and leadership lessons from the FBI to name a few.
After graduating from the University of San Diego School of Law, John went on to study International Civil and Criminal Law at Magdalen College, University of Oxford before then becoming a Police Officer for the San Diego Police Department. After two years of being a police officer, John then Joined the FBI and has spent time on the SWAT team and on their Cyber Squad Supervisor in Phoenix, before being promoted to the number two position for the State of Arizona - in charge of overseeing all criminal, cyber and counter-intelligence investigations.
For his esteemed service, John received the FBI Director’s Distinguished Service Award and now holds an Honorary Doctorate of Computer Science. Not only a seasoned speaker, but John is also the published author of five books including the highly regarded ‘How to Spot a Terrorist Before It’s Too Late’ and ‘Disorderly Conduct: The Oddities of My 20-Year Life as an FBI Special Agent’.
