Recognised for his career-driven mindset, he became a Non-Profit Advisor and Board Member for companies including Green Bronx Machine, Biomimicry Institute, Climate Music, Eco Athletes, and many more. Taking the entrepreneurial leap, Joel secured the role of Co-founder of Clean Edge Inc, a business that is devoted to creating a clean-energy economy.
Respected for his remarkable achievements, Joel became the Chairman and Co-Founder of GreenBiz Group in 1999. Having developed the corporate website, GreenBiz.com, and the sustainability events, he has implemented new strategies throughout the business and is continuing to gain great success. Aside from his corporate career, Joel aims to share his knowledge and experience through his publications and speaking engagements. As a prolific writer, he has created four best-selling books, multiple sustainability reports, articles, and the respected blog, Two Steps Forward.
In 2012, Joel was awarded the Hutchens Medal by the American Society for Quality to recognise his ability to inform and inspire business leaders towards profitable action.
