Jo Wimble-Groves is a motivational speaker, and expert in leadership and management, who specialises in encouraging and motivating women to become more confident in the workplace. Aside from speaking at events, Jo also runs workshops for businesses and schools, helping to inspire confidence in women, helping them to become business leaders and take the leap into entrepreneurship. She draws upon her own experiences as the co-owner of Active Digital, an award-winning telecoms provider, in which she has operated alongside her brother for the last twenty-nine years since she was a teenager.
Additionally, Jo also writes a popular blog, GuiltyMother, about her experience juggling work commitments and motherhood and has gained an impressive following in the last twelve months. She is also a contributor for Huffington Post Parents. As a freelance writer, Jo shares her business and leadership advance with a number of newspapers, websites, and magazines, including The Guardian, The Telegraph, Cosmopolitan, Happiful Magazine and InStyle UK. Jo has performed presentations for Microsoft, Apple UK, The Ministry of Defence, Virgin Media O2, Tesco Bank, Barclays Bank and Inspiring Women Workshops.
Jo regularly spends time visiting schools, colleges, and universities to share her story, as well as explaining the power of how raising your hand can shape your future. Her aim is to inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs. In March 2019, Jo was one of 100 women to be invited to No.10 Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister on International Women’s Day.
In October 2021, Jo published her first book with DK, Rise of the Girl - Seven Empowering Conversations to have with your Daughter. Available now in hardback and on audible in the UK, the US and Australia. In November 2022, she delivered a TEDx talk for Sutton High School, part of GDST.
