Jeff Barnes

Jeff Barnes is a Walt Disney historian and talented author of two best-selling books. He is the foremost authority on Walt Disney and innovatively uses his profound knowledge of Walt and Disney stories to deliver the most captivating motivational speeches. As a lifelong fan of Walt Disney, Disney Parks, and the stories they tell, Jeff blends the history and nostalgia of the Disney experience in his presentations, applying them to real-life cases to deliver powerful inspirational speeches that strongly resonate with the audience. In his sessions, Jeff articulately talks about leadership, courage, resilience and overcoming adversity.

Jeff graduated with a BA in Bible/Biblical Studies from William Carey College in 1985, he then went on to earn a Master of Divinity and a PhD in New Testament Studies from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He began his academic career working for Wayland Baptist University, over 12 years he worked on multiple campuses, developed, and taught courses and held roles such as Executive Director/Campus Dean and Professor. His next role was at California Baptist University where he served as Dean of Student Success and presently holds the role of Professor of Humanities. One of Jeff’s most popular courses is The Life and Lessons of Walt Disney, a pioneering course which was initially met with scepticism but has now become one of the most popular courses at the university.

As a keynote speaker, Jeff’s ultimate goal is to spread positive messages to help those seeking to overcome adversity, in the process inspiring dreamers to become the heroes of their own great stories, much like Disney characters. Also, an accomplished author, Jeff has written two bestselling books including, The Wisdom of Walt: Leadership Lessons From The Happiest Place On Earth and Beyond The Wisdom of Walt: Life Lessons From The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Although Jeff did not enjoy his first visit to Disneyland, he was inspired by the legendary Walt Disney, an innovator and pioneer whose life offers many valuable lessons. After spending several years studying and understating this phenomenal man, Jeff now takes inspiration from him in his speaking sessions to teach the audience about how they can emulate his success.
