Jason Silva

Jason Silva is a well-known Venezuelan American keynote speaker, filmmaker, TV personality, philosopher and futurist. He has hosted a number of different TV programmes and spoken at a number of prestigious events. Jason is particularly known for using technology in a way that excites people about science. Social media, lecture halls and television are pinnacle to the way that he shares his perspectives with the world.

Jason is best known for being the host of Emmy-nominated Brain Games, a programme shown on the National Geographic channel. The show explores the ins and outs of the human brain through a series of interactive games. These games look at decision making, patterning and perception as well as looking at how easily the brain can be fooled. The show hosts a number of experts within the fields of psychology, cognitive science and neuroscience. Jason also hosted the programme Origins: The Journey of Humankind in 2012. He has also spoken on CBS This Morning in 2012 and the Australian ABC programme Q&A in 2012.

In addition to his roles in TV programmes, Jason has also spoken at a number of events and for a number of companies. Such events and companies include Google, Intel, Cisco, Oracle, Adobe, Electronic Arts, Cannes Lions, Tribeca Film Festival, Cosmopolitan, The Singularity Summit, the PSFK Conference, TEDGlobal, The Economist Ideas Festival, DLD Digital Life Design Conference in Munich and the Festival of Dangerous Ideas. Jason has also featured in a number of publications, such as Vanity Fair, Forbes, Wired, The Economist and The Atlantic.

In 2011 Jason examined the symbiosis between man and machine at the Hybrid Reality Institute. Jason often speaks on topics such as creativity, technology, innovation, thinking differently, curiosity and inspiration. At TEDGlobal in 2012, Jason premiered his short video called Radical Openness. Later that year in September, he also showed his video at the opening keynote of Microsoft’s TechEd Australia.
