Iwan Wyn Roberts

Iwan Wyn Roberts is best known for his career as a professional footballer. He is most notably known for playing for Norwich City, Leicester City and the Wolves in the Premier League as well as playing in lower divisions such as Watford, Huddersfield, Gillingham and Cambridge United. He was inducted into the hall of fame at Norwich City FC and has a great reputation in the East Anglia region.

Iwan began his professional footballing career at Watford, initially joining as a trainee before he was signed to a professional contract shortly after he turned 18. After a number of years playing for Watford Iwan’s hard work, professionalism and talent were rewarded with regular call-ups to the Welsh squad where he earned 15 caps. During his peak Iwan scored an impressive 61 goals over three seasons, ending his career with two goals in the match that saw Norwich achieve promotion to the Premier League.

During his time at Norwich Iwan won the heart of the team's fans, gaining himself a number of titles whilst there. In one of his early seasons with the team he was their top scorer, scoring 23 goals over 51 games. This performance lead to him being named the Norwich Player Of The Season. Later in 1999 Iwan claimed the title of the Norwich top scorer once more, as well as retaining his title of Player Of The Season.

In 2004 Iwan published his book, titled All I Want For Christmas, a book that documented an account of his last season playing for Norwich. Since retiring in 2005 Iwan has done a vast amount of media work as a commentator. He is fluent in Welsh and a lot of his media work lies with BBC Wales, Radio Cymru and Sky Sports. Alongside media commitments, Iwan also earnt a UEFA A Licence for coaching and speaking in 2007.

Iwan is known for being a powerful player, often seen successfully heading the ball. Such talent deemed him to be a target man throughout his career. With professionalism and talent being central to each performance that he gives, Iwan is the perfect addition for corporate event speaking.
