Ian Stringer is a renowned media professional who can be recognised from his appearance on season four of The Apprentice. He has been a popular Football Commentator on BBC Radio Leicester, calling the Leicester City game every week. From an early age, Ian showcased a great work ethic landing his first job straight out of college, selling TVs for Dixons for just £3.18 an hour. Shortly he was given a reporting role on Wycombe Wanderers and MK Dons games, allowing him to rub shoulders with notable football managers. Having developed substantial experience as a presenter, in 2008, Ian landed his dream job as a Leicester City reporter, and in 2016 he had the opportunity to report on their epic Premier League win.
Outside of his expertise in sports and broadcasting, Ian is a successful entrepreneur who beat 20,000 applicants to appear as a contestant on the fourth season of the Apprentice in 2008. He is also the owner of JumpStart PR a small business which caters to exclusive clients. Moreover, Ian has made several contributions to charity, for instance, he ran five marathons over five global cities (Bangkok, Hawaii, Alaska, New York & Leicester) in five days to raise money. In 2017 he won the Highly Commended award in the Commentator of the Year Category by the Sports Journalists Association.
