Guenther Steiner

Guenther Steiner is a renowned motorsport engineer and team manager, best known for previously serving as the Team Principal of the Haas F1 Team. With over 30 years working in the motorsport industry, Guenther has showcased his natural leadership skills and is now admired throughout the community. Having developed an incredibly successful career over recent years, he has become highly sought-after at speaking events to share his expert knowledge with audiences worldwide.

Starting his professional career in rallying, Guenther secured the position of Assistant Team Manager for Top Run Srl. Developing a passion for motorsport, Steiner became the Manager of Prodrive’s Allstar Rally team in 1997, which led to a victory at the European Rally Championship. Switching to Formula 1 in 2001, Guenther was appointed as Team Principal before being chosen to forward as their Managing Director. Recognised for his profound sporting ability, he became a leading authority in the industry and was wanted by all the major Formula One teams.

After Red Bull purchased Jaguar Racing in 2004, Guenther was invited to join Red Bull Racing. After being appointed technical operations director, he led the team to improved results in the 2005 season and helped to establish the iconic NASCAR team. Having become the first constructor to compete in F1 for 30 years, the team completed an incredibly successful first season, and Guenther is a large part of the team that made this possible. In 2022, the team scored its first-ever F1 Pole Position. Having been a key member of the team for many years, Guenther stepped down from the role on the 10th of January 2024 but continues to remain a popular motivational speaker for all kinds of events.
