Georgie Frost is an award-winning financial journalist and freelance broadcaster for the BBC and The Times across national radio and TV. She has hosted and produced the popular MailOnline podcast This is Money for over a decade. Georgie is a well-regarded keynote speaker, event host and moderator due to her extensive expertise and insights in finance and business.
Georgie studied a degree in History, American Government and Politics before her journalism training with a master’s in Political Communications at Goldsmiths, University of London. Georgie started her career as a Chief Sports Reporter at GMG Radio in the North East, working with Smooth Radio and Real Radio. From 2009, she was a Sports Broadcaster for the BBC. During her early career in sports journalism, Georgie was nominated for many awards, including Best Breaking News Story and Best Station at the Sony Awards in 2012. She also won an award for Outstanding Journalism in 2009 whilst working for GMG Radio. Transitioning from sports to finance, Georgie became a Radio Presenter for Share Radio in 2014, where she hosted a daily money talk show.
In 2019, Georgie became a Freelance Broadcaster and Editor for The Times. As the former Editor-at-Large and lead broadcaster at Times Money Mentor, Georgie created informative written and video content on personal finance, investing and consumer affairs. Since 2021, Georgie has led and hosted The So What podcast for Boston Consulting Group, which reached No.1 on the US Business iTunes chart. Throughout her journalism career, Georgie has won various awards, including Headline Money Financial Broadcast Journalist of the Year in 2016. She has also been shortlisted for many prestigious awards, including a finalist for the Santander Media Awards Personal Finance Journalist of the Year and Best New Voice at the Audio Production Awards. Georgie recently launched her own podcast, Investing Unlocked, decoding the jargon of personal finance and investing.
Georgie is an experienced event host and keynote speaker in personal finance, consumer affairs and technology, speaking at global events including COP, Cannes Lions and Mobile World Congress.
