Geoff Norcott is an engaging and unique keynote speaker who blends the tough subjects in politics with comedy. With over two decades of experience in the industry, Geoff has worked with shows including the BBC, making regular TV and radio appearances. He has written for numerous UK TV shows, including 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and A League of Their Own. During his events, Geoff encourages honesty and humour, making him ideal for those pursuing fresh and balanced entertainment.
Geoff began his career by obtaining an English degree at Goldsmiths University of London, before studying to be an English teacher. In 2001, he completed his first stand-up comedy gig to supplement his teaching income. This initial event sparked his passion for comedy and quickly led to him performing at the Banana Cabaret in Balham with Paul Tonkinson and Michael McIntyre in 2003. Geoff's career began to flourish with him appearing on radio and TV panels, along with presenting shows on the BBC, Talksport and Nuts TV in 2005. Throughout his career, he has appeared on both comedy and political shows, such as his first appearance on Live at the Apollo in 2018, where he was the first openly pro-Brexit comedian to be on the show.
Geoff has been at the forefront of presenting, including hosting a weekly evening show on Times Radio and his own BBC documentary “How the Middle Class Ruined Britain”. Geoff became the first white male member of the BBC’s diversity panel due to his working-class upbringing. In 2021, he published his book “Where Did I Go Right?” to further reflect on his political journey. In more recent times, he has continued to host weekly podcasts on “What Most People Think”, showing his comedic approach to politics and culture. Additionally, Geoff has been touring venues across the UK with his stand-up shows, where he highlights his comedic commentary on modern-day politics.
Geoff's inspirational career has not gone unnoticed, with him being nominated for Best New Show at Leicester Comedy Festival for his distinctive approach to humour and politics. He was awarded an Operational Service Medal for his dedication to undertake five frontline tours in Afghanistan to entertain troops. Geoff is described as a refreshing voice as he uses his platform to shed light on important political topics with a comedic flair.
