Leading journalist and presenter, Geeta Pendse has over 15 years of experience reporting on the world’s most pressing stories. After completing studies in Broadcast Journalism at the City University London, Geeta landed her dream job with the BBC as a Broadcast Journalist on BBC Breakfast TV. As part of BBC News for nearly 13 years, Geeta worked on the Leicester’s UK City of Culture Bid, as a Presenter of BBC Three 60 Seconds News, as a Senior Broadcast Journalist for BBC East Midlands Today and as an Arts Journalist for BBC Breakfast. Leaving BBC News behind, Geeta embarked on a freelance career, joining as a Presenter at Sky Arts.
Geeta has also worked as a freelance presenter and reporter for Robin Hood Media Limited, BBC Sunday Morning Live and Front Row for BBC Radio 4. Today, Geeta works as a freelance journalist for many of the major broadcasters in the UK and has also forged a reputation as an events host. Some of her recent hosting and speaking events include An Evening with Mary Portas for Penguin Books, a keynote speech for the opening of the World Gallery for Derby Museum’s Trust, a season launch for the Curve Theatre and a business innovation online event for the University of Leicester.
