Gabrielle Reece is a former professional volleyball player, serial entrepreneur, author, podcast host and wellness influencer. Passionate about sharing her perspectives and advice on strength, wellness and high performance, Gabby’s talks are not lectures; they are tales of lived experience operating at elite levels of health and sport.
Having made a name for herself in the pro-volleyball sphere, Gabby played on various professional tours for several years. In 1994, she was endorsed by Nike, becoming the brand’s first female cross-training spokesperson and was named WBVL Offensive Player of the Year 1994-95. She went on to win the 1997 Beach Volleyball World Championships, her fifth season as team captain and her fourth captaining Team Nike. In 1999-2000, Gabby competed in the Olympic Challenge Series and the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, demonstrating her incredible skill and world-class ability. With fitness and training surrounding her life throughout her career, and the years after, Gabby co-founded Laird Superfood and XPT, a unique water workout programme, with her husband, Laird Hamilton, and is the founder of HIGH X Fitness, a range of high-intensity fitness classes. Gabby currently runs The Reecet, a regular fitness retreat and wellness experience for women where she looks to blend coaching with real-world application in a comfortable environment.
As a former sports model, Gabby has featured in and across the covers of various magazines such as Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Sports Illustrated for Women, Travel & Leisure Golf, Women’s Sports & Fitness, Vogue and more. She has also appeared on Good Morning America and The Today Show, and was the host of ‘MTV Sports’, ‘The Extremists’, ‘Gravity Games’, and NBC’s fitness competition series, ‘STRONG’. In 2013, she released her book ‘My Foot is Too Big for the Glass Slipper’, which soon became a New York Times bestseller for her bold retellings of the highs and lows of both her career and her journey of motherhood. She currently hosts The Gabby Reece Show, a podcast in which she interviews experts in wellness, entertainment and more.
A leading figure in athleticism and health, Gabby is an inspirational and trusted voice in high-performance living. The Advantage of Authenticity
In a world obsessed with achievement and optimisation, most high performers are solving the wrong problem. They keep trying to fix what’s outside without understanding what’s happening inside. Drawing on decades as a world-class athlete, entrepreneur, and mother, Gabby Reece reveals what’s behind one of today’s most overlooked performance advantages: Authenticity.
Through powerful stories, research-based insights, and relatable humour, Gabby helps audiences see how their environments, habits, and belief systems shape their ability to perform.
This talk is not about “doing more.” It’s about learning how to do the right things from a grounded, self-aware state. One that activates your resilience, presence, and clarity even under pressure.
