Eve Muirhead is a Scottish former curler, and one of Britain’s most successful winter Olympians. Known worldwide as the skip of the British Olympic Curling Team, she made history when she led Team GB to Olympic Gold at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. A four-time Olympian, Eve is celebrated for her leadership under pressure and ability to inspire teams to peak performance on the biggest stage.
Eve’s journey in curling began early, influenced by her family’s strong connection to the sport. She first competed on the world stage at the 2007 World Junior Curling Championships, winning gold as a third before taking on the role of skip. Over the next few years, she became one of the most dominant figures in junior curling, claiming four World Junior Championship titles (2007, 2008, 2009, 2011), a feat unmatched in the sport. Her early success marked her as a future star, and she soon transitioned into senior competition while still a teenager, developing her skills in tactical decision-making and mental toughness.
Her senior career has been equally remarkable. Eve became World Champion in 2013, the youngest skip ever to do so, and went on to claim European Championship titles in 2011, 2017 and 2021. She led Team GB to a bronze medal at Sochi 2014, becoming the youngest skip to win an Olympic medal, before achieving her ultimate goal of gold in Beijing. Alongside these major wins, she earned six Grand Slam titles, including the historic 2013 Players’ Championship as the first European team ever to win a Grand Slam. Off the ice, Eve’s contributions have been recognised with an MBE in 2020 and OBE in 2022 for services to curling. She has also transitioned into leadership roles, becoming Chef de Mission for Team GB at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics and being appointed to the same position for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Audiences book Eve Muirhead for her unique combination of competitive insight, leadership experience and ability to connect with people at all levels. She speaks on performance under pressure, leading high-functioning teams, making decisions under scrutiny, and building a winning mindset. These themes resonate far beyond sport, offering lessons for business leaders, educators, and teams facing their own high-stakes challenges. Eve’s story is one of resilience, tactical brilliance, and sustained excellence, making her an ideal choice for organisations seeking to inspire and motivate.
