English comic, actress and TV presenter Emma Kennedy is a published author and well-known TV personality who has worked with some of British TV’s biggest actors and most well-known comedians. A graduate of St Edmund Hall, Oxford Emma Kennedy made her first on-stage appearances in her university acting troupe alongside comedy actors Stewart Lee and Richard Herring; whilst working as an actor for The Oxford Revue and the Seven Raymond’s, Emma Kennedy met Mel Giedoryc and Sue Perkins who were acting in the Cambridge Footlights at the same time.
Kennedy went on to work an actor and writer alongside Perkins and Giedoryc on a number of projects including Late Lunch and The Real Holiday Show. Emma Kennedy has also worked as an actor on various other popular British comedy series including Goodness Gracious Me, This Morning with Richard Not Judy (where she once again teamed up with Lee and Herring) and The Smoking Room.
Emma Kennedy has been working as a TV presenter for the past fifteen years and has appeared on several BBC broadcasts, most notably Comic Relief, her notoriety as a TV personality gained her a place on Celebrity Masterchef and in fundraising challenges for Comic Relief. Most recently she has been working as a voice actor on a project for CBBC and published her own range of children’s literature following the exploits of Wilma Tenderfoot.
