In the same year, she secured a book deal and was featured in a Microsoft TV campaign. In 2018, she published ‘The Multi-Hyphen Method’, providing advice on building a portfolio career. She followed her Sunday Times Bestselling work with her debut novel 'Olive', which was longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award, and ‘Sabotage’ in 2020. She released ‘Disconnected’ in 2022 and ‘The Success Myth’ in 2023. In 2024, she published ‘A Year of Nothing’, a memoir which was highlighted by the BBC, Woman’s Hour, The Guardian, and other international media, and was picked as part of The Observer Book Club and Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place Book Club. In 2025, Emma published ‘Table for One’, which was named Fiction of the Week by People Magazine. Her newest book, ‘A Creative Compass: Finding Your Way to a Creative Life’, will release summer of 2026.
Alongside her broad writing career, Emma currently publishes a top 10 UK Substack newsletter, The Hyphen, in which she dives into creativity, ideas and modern life. Her writing has also been featured in Oprah Dailu, VOGUE, ELLE, Vanity Fair, New York Magazine and more. She also served as a judge for the 2025 Women’s Prize for Fiction.
