Dion Leonard is a British Australian athlete who has achieved numerous top 10 finishes throughout his career. He has developed his skills through endless training and has taken part in some of the most challenging races worldwide. After moving to the UK from Queensland, Dion began running in 2013. As a talented individual, he came 2nd in the 250km Kalahari Augrabies Extreme Marathon a year after he started training. This triumph was followed by many more throughout his career and gained his first victory in 2017 at the Kalahari Augrabies Extreme Marathon three years later. Continuing to work hard, Dion’s most recent race was at ‘The World’s Toughest Race’ where he placed 6th overall.
Aside from his athletics career, Dion has appeared numerous times as a guest star on TV shows such as Good Morning Britain, BBC Breakfast and CNN. Admired by many, he has also presented the Gold Duke of Edenborough in 2017 alongside Prince Edward. Now a best-selling author, Dion released his first book ‘Finding Gobi’ which has been greatly successful and is now being turned into a movie.
