Diane Danzebrink is a consultant, speaker, and educator who specialises in menopause. After having surgery to remove both of her ovaries, Diane was plunged into surgical menopause and suffered with her mental health due to the lack of support and help available. Determined not to let others suffer in silence as she did, Diane founded the purpose-over-profit organisation Menopause Support and created the national campaign #MakeMenopauseMatter. Now, when hired as a speaker, Diane can offer her expert advice and support to individuals and organisations on the menopause and the implications this might have on a place of work.
Diane wondered if she was alone in her suffering, or if there were other women who were also in anguish from a lack of support when going through the menopause. Shockingly, Diane’s research would uncover that there were countless other women who were also suffering with their mental health. With a clinical background, Diane has experience in professional therapy; a skill she used to provide factual, evidence-based information to help these countless other women navigate the struggles of the menopause and mental health. Due to her own experiences, Diane realised she needed to set up a patient-led organisation to offer the best support because of the lack of education on the menopause. By founding Menopause Support, she is enabling thousands of others to take control of their own mental health and well-being.
As a result of the national #MakeMenopauseMatter campaign, menopause was added to the RSE curriculum in England, in 2020, and from 2024, all medical students will be taught about the menopause. Now, Diane has made numerous appearances on This Morning, Loose Women, BBC Breakfast, Good Morning Britain, ITV, and Channel 4, to name a few. Featuring on both the news in Australia and Japan, Diane has helped raise awareness across the globe and has become the trusted voice in advising organisations on the menopause. She can also be heard frequently discussing the menopause on the radio and has written for both The Telegraph and The Guardian on the issue.
Diane is the author of the book ‘Making Menopause Matter’. In this comprehensive guide, she shares her personal journey through menopause, the challenges she faced, and the lack of support she encountered. The book aims to empower them to take control of their health and well-being.
Diane regularly attends the menopause training for nurses, due to her membership with the British Menopause Society. Having given keynotes at major conferences such as the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and the ‘This Can Happen’ stage in London, there is no organisation or association Diane will not be able to deliver her trusted advice to. Whether you are a manager in need of advice on how the menopause can affect your place of work, or whether you are looking to be empowered throughout struggles with the menopause, look no further than Diane Danzebrink to hire at your next event.

"Diane was a great presenter really engaging with the audience and presented in a fun but informative way and answered all the questions. All the attendees that I’ve managed to speak to, have said this was the best presentation on health and wellbeing that they’ve attended, and they all learnt so much. I had a lot of male attendees specifically approach me to say they really felt this helped them understand and it’s helped to facilitate a conversation with their partner/family member as well as highlighting to them just what women go through." - Gemma, First Databank
