Deniz Aytekin

Deniz Aytekin is one of the world’s most revered football referees, voted DFB Referee of the Year 4 times throughout his illustrious career. A pivotal part of the German Bundesliga tournament, Deniz has gained respect at international stages such as FIFA. Deniz’s career has developed his unparalleled ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations, manage conflict effectively and lead with a level-head. Deniz’s began his journey as a referee for Bundesliga in 2008. Over the years, he developed decision-making skills that were vital to his role. Currently, he dedicates his time as the Founder & Managing Director of DA Consulting, Anwalt.de, and Fitnessmarkt.de. These roles have contributed to his expertise in leadership and the art of decision making – on the field or in a corporate setting. Deniz is also the author of “Souverän entscheiden und führen: Was Führungskräfte von Schiedsrichtern lernen können”. The book highlights prominent lessons managers and entrepreneurs can learn from professional referees when it comes to leading with empathy, respect and sovereignty.

In 2023, Deniz received the Bavarian Order of Merit – bestowed upon him as a sign of grateful recognition for his achievements and services rendered to the state of Bavaria.
