David Webb

David Web is a seasoned football coach and manager with over 20 years of experience at the elite level. As Assistant Manager of Georgia’s national team, he has played a key role in developing players and guiding the squad to their first-ever major tournament qualification at the European Championships. As a speaker, David shares incredible stories from his career, lessons on resilience and insights that audiences can apply to their own lives and businesses. David began his coaching career with AFC Wimbledon in 2000, serving as their Academy Coach and Scouting Coordinator. From there, he joined league legends, Crystal Palace, in the same role. With an eye for spotting talent, David went on to identify major footballing stars at the grassroots level. Notable names identified by David include Chelsea’s Trevor Chalobah, Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha and Fulham’s Emile Smith Rowe. In 2007, David moved to Millwall, where he became the Head of Academy Coaching. The next few years saw him hold several key roles at high-profile clubs, such as Consultant Coach for Bayer Leverkusen, U-15-U21 Talent ID Scout for Southampton and Head of First Team Recruitment and Analysis at Bournemouth. 

In 2015, David became Tottenham’s Head of Elite ID and Player Development, where he identified and nurtured the next generation of talent for the club’s first team. Whilst with the club, he was instrumental in the recruitment of Kieran Trippier, Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min. With natural leadership qualities and an expert understanding of football strategy, David joined Östersunds FK in 2018 as Technical Director and First Team Coach before later taking on the role of Head of Football Operations at Huddersfield. In his first managerial role as Manager of York City, David achieved an impressive 51.2% win rate, highlighting his ability to inspire and deliver under pressure. Most recently, David became the Assistant Manager of Georgia. In this position, he helped guide the team to the European Championship, where they beat Portugal to reach the last 16.
