David Edwards, a professional golfer and entertaining trick shot artist, is best known for previously competing in the PGA Tour and is now currently playing on the Champions Tour. Younger brother to PGA Tour professional Danny Edwards, David grew up surrounded by natural sportsmanship and has now built up an incredible skill set with attributes including mental resilience, drive, determination and the ability to perform under pressure. Born in Missouri, Edwards was educated at Oklahoma State University where he joined the golf team. He very quickly established himself as a pivotal member of the club and became a first-team All-American which he secured for both his junior and senior years. With some of his early career highlights including captaining the college team to the 1976 and 1978 NCAA Championships and receiving his first individual medal in 1978, he turned professional in 1979 and joined the PGA Team.
David has managed to get his highest official World Golf Ranking at 25 after strong performances at the US Open and Masters Tournament in 1993. He has collected a total of seven professional wins including at the 3M Championship in 2006 and four wins in the PGA Tour. With some of his best performances within the major championships including achieving T3 at the 1984 Masters Tournament and T14 at the 1987 PGA Championship, it’s evident that David Edwards has an abundance of knowledge and expertise on what it takes to become a successful sportsman, a topic he frequently relates improving productivity within a corporate organisation.
Remaining a man of golf, David has gone on to host his own charity golf day - The David Edwards Charity Golf Day was held in 2018 in aid of prostate cancer and raised an impressive £7,500 for Prostate Cancer UK.
