Dr Dale Whelehan

Dr. Dale Whelehan has enjoyed a distinguished career in behavioural science and social enterprise, currently renowned as the Chief Executive Officer of 4 Day Week – Global. Pioneering the concept of a four-day working week, Dale is working with like-minded individuals who are passionate about the future of work and the prioritisation of both mental and physical wellbeing in the workplace. Educated with a BS in Physiotherapy and a PhD in Behaviour Science from Trinity College Dublin, Dale has forged great success in the healthcare industry. He has worked as a physiotherapist for a variety of distinguished organisations, including as a Physiotherapist for Tallaght Hospital, St James’ Hospital Dublin and Tullamore Midlands Regional Hospital. In addition to practising physiotherapy, Dale has also been a prominent board member for various healthcare organisations – such as being an Education & Professional Development Committee Member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and a Board Member of CORU – Regulating Health + Social Care Professionals.

In addition to healthcare, Dale has also forged a stellar career as an academic. He has shared his expertise as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, as a Guest Lecturer in Behaviour Science at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and in Organisational Behaviour at Trinity Business School, as an Adjunct Professor in Behaviour Science at Dorset College Dublin and as a Guest Lecturer in Organisational Leadership at the University of Muenster. Today, Dale is the Founder and Director of BehaviourDoc, a bespoke consultancy centred around behavioural sciences, a Thought Leader in Wellbeing and Mental Health for SocialTalent and a Panel Assessor for Diversity Mark.
