Claire Snowdon-Darling is a highly influential menopause expert renowned for establishing the revolutionary The Triangle of Hormonal Health in 2016, a concept based on demystifying the complex interchange between hormone systems that cause some of the major disorders affecting society. She currently serves as the Head of College for The College of Functional Wellness, which provides distinguished functional wellness coaching and functional kinesiology. Claire is also a passionate speaker on stress, the gut microbiome, diet, insulin resistance and menopause.
Before earning her expertise in clinical practice, Claire started her career as a PA to the Artistic Director of the Nuffield Theatre. She joined Mencap as a Support Worker in 1997 before landing the role of Day Care Support Worker at the Elizabeth Fitzroy Homes in 1998. In 2004, Claire became the Direct Sales Manager for Fuchsia Fuchsia and later founded the Spa Source Ltd. After seven years as the Group Marketing Director of The Spur Group and Artistic Director of the Shoestring Theatre Company, Claire established Balanced Wellness in 2008. In 2010, she became a Lecturer at The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology.
Claire subsequently became a Business Mentor at Synergy WorldWide and a Member of the Board of Trustees for Fibromyalgia South East Support. Balanced Wellness, her ground-breaking, alternative health practice, was born from a life-altering experience where Claire almost died during birth complications. The life-changing incident left her with multiple physical and emotional issues, ranging from depression, PTSD, and chronic fatigue to early menopause. With dated and unhelpful medical solutions, she made the choice to explore alternative medicine, focusing on wellness. Gaining extensive clinical expertise and accredited practitioner qualifications during her journey, Claire has now established herself as a thought leader in menopause and hormonal imbalances.
Adopting a comprehensive approach to health in her private practice, Claire views the body as a whole health system. Therefore, she targets diet and hormone health to identify solutions for today’s chronic health issues. Her authority in menopause and hormonal imbalances has seen her feature in Health & Wellbeing, Bella, The Guardian, Natural Health and Woman & Home. She has also become a highly sought-after speaker, regularly booked by prominent clients, including the BBC, Channel 4, FatFace, the University of Winchester and the Festival of the Girl. An inspirational speaker who empowers audiences with cutting-edge knowledge, Claire breaks health myths and offers them information they can trust.
