Carl Fogarty

The most successful World Superbike rider of all time, Carl Fogarty is a motorsport legend who achieved 59 victories and four World Superbike Championships. Characterised for his amazing high corner speed riding styles and combative and competitive demeanour on track, Carl’s relentless hunger for winning made him one of the most driven and determined sporting personalities of the era. Carl first made an impression racing at the Isle of Man TT, winning the 1985 Lightweight Newcomers Discipline. In 1992, Fogarty broke the lap record for the course at 18 minutes, 18.8 seconds at an average of 123.6mph. The skill involved to carry such speed on the perilous Isle of Man street course makes Carl one of the most talented racers of his generation. Following on from his retirement from the sport, Carl has founded the Foggy Petronas team who compete in the World Superbike Championship. He has also won the fourteenth series of ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! before being awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Central Lancashire.
