Steve Parrish

A legendary former motorcycle and truck racer, Steve Parrish has enjoyed life in the fast lane. Turning professional at the age of 22 in 1976, Parrish won the ACU Solo title for the British Motorcycle Championship, before partnering with Barry Sheene on a Suzuki for the 1977 500cc World Championship. Returning to British based riding for 1978, Parrish won the title to become British champion. As British Champion Parrish shot to fame as a fierce competitor. Other notable wins for him included the Shell 500 title in 1979 and 1980, as well as a Superbike Title in 1981. Retiring from motorcycle racing in 1986, Parrish embarked on a duel career of managing an accomplished Yamaha factory team to claim three British Superbike Championships alongside a flourishing talent as a truck racing driver. Winning 1987 British Open Truck Racing Championship, Parrish then went on to gain the top spot both the European and British Truck Racing Championships in 1990. Having held the British title for four years and the European title for a further three before his final victory of reclaiming the European title one last time in 1996. Steve retired in 2002 as the most successful truck racing driver in history.

Thanks to Steve reputation as a joker, he soon began to attract media attention after retirement, turning his hand to television commentary alongside Barry Nutley. Parrish has commentated on MotoGP, BTTC, Red Bull Air Races, and World SuperBikes throughout his career, showing his breadth and depth of talent as a TV Presenter.
