Bradley Scanes is a high performance coach, physiotherapist and keynote speaker best known for his work at the pinnacle of global sport. He became Head of Medical at Southend United Football Club, leading player care and rehabilitation, before progressing to national programmes with England Basketball and British Gymnastics. Working closely with Olympic champion Max Whitlock during gold medal and World Championship campaigns exposed Bradley to the realities of preparing athletes for career defining moments. In 2019, Bradley stepped into Formula 1, beginning a defining chapter as Human Performance Consultant and Physiotherapist at Red Bull Racing. Over five seasons he worked directly with Max Verstappen, overseeing physical preparation, recovery, nutrition, sleep and rehabilitation. Bradley played a central role in supporting Verstappen’s first World Championship victory in 2021, before contributing to multiple consecutive world titles in the years that followed. Alongside his Formula 1 work, Bradley foundedElite Formula Physio & Training, where he serves as Founder and Director, delivering high level performance coaching to athletes and professionals worldwide. He has also held the position of Honorary Lecturer at the University of Essex, sharing his expertise with future practitioners.
