Anna Boden is an adventurer and equestrian enthusiast who was titled Winner of the 2022 Gaucho Derby. Dubbed as the toughest horse race in the world, Anna outdid 35 other riders, coming out victorious. She is now available to speak at events about adventure, teamwork, determination, and resilience.
With a degree in Stem Cell Biology from the University of Edinburgh, Anna pursued a career in teaching science. All the while she had had a yen for adventure, acknowledging that it would keep her sane and help her understand herself and people around her better. She entered a 300km Endurance Horse Race that lasted four days and was held in South Africa. The youngest competitor in the race, Anna came second in the race.
In 2022, Anna undertook the Gaucho Derby – a ten day long, 500-kilometre race in Argentina that tests participants in ways that no other race is known to do. Divvied into shorter legs, the Gaucho Derby is designed to test skills as opposed to speed. Anna reigned supreme against all the obstacles set in her way, winning the Gaucho Derby in just 8 days.
Having worked in a myriad of startups and in education, Anna has had a very diverse career. Coupled with experiences as an adventurer, Anna has learned a great deal about teamwork, determination, resilience and leadership. She is now available to share these lessons when hired as a speaker.
