Andy Tennant

Racing cyclist and sports speaker Andy Tennant is part of the British Olympic academy and, alongside his teammates and fellow Olympic speakers Ian Bibby, Dean Downing and Alex Peters. Taking up the sport at a young age he joined the Olympic development squad in 2005. Managed and guided by ex-World Champion and renowned Olympic speaker Roger Hammond Tennant currently rides as part of the Madison-Genesis team and is developing his riding abilities in hopes of taking part in Rio 2016.

In his capacity as an after dinner speaker Andy Tennant has been called upon to appear as a guest Olympic speaker at a number of children’s and youth events; his own experience as a junior rider and subsequent Olympic training mark him as both an interesting and inspiring sports speaker and personality whose presence is sure to encourage more young Britons into the sport.

Having taken part in the Commonwealth Games of 2006 Andy Tennant has already proved his mettle on the road, raising stamina, determination and ambition are all subjects he covers in his work as an after dinner speaker whilst his media appearances have all highlighted his personal strength and resolve.

Working under another ex-racing cyclist and Olympic speaker, Rob Hayles, Andy Tennant holds a great deal of promise for future Great British cycling teams; his work as an Olympic speaker not only helps to raise the profile of the sport but also to make him a more recognisable public figure and has earned him a celebrity status.
