Andy Briggs is proud to play a role in helping Britain prepare and enjoy their retirement. More people than ever before are living longer and healthier lives, which is something which should be celebrated. Yet, with many people both wanting and needing to work for longer to pay towards our health and care in older age and with radical shifts in demographics and pensions, a change in thinking is required. This change brings great opportunities, and Andy Briggs is raising support of older workers with his commitments as the Government Business Champion for Older Workers. Currently working as the Group CEO of Phoenix Group, Andy is also booked as a keynote speaker on the future of the workplace and being age inclusive at work.

As the UK Government’s Business Champion for the Ageing Society, Andy regularly advocates for a more diverse, inclusive and multigenerational workforce within businesses. He is also passionate about opportunities for young people, with his roles with the NSPCC as Trustee and the Chair of the Income Generation Committee. His commitment to providing youth with opportunities saw him honoured with the privilege of being awarded an MBE for services to children in the 2021 New Year Honours. Phoenix Group is the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business, with 14 million policies and £338 billion of assets under management, with whom Andy works to ensure that people are both happy and comfortable in their retirement. 

Now booked as a speaker for corporate events, Andy shares his expertise in preparing for retirement, creating support throughout the country for older workers. Having also worked as the former CEO of UK Insurance & Global Health & Life for Aviva and Chief Executive of Retirement Income for Prudential UK & Europe, Andy Briggs puts the complexities of pensions and retirement into a relatable and easy perspective.
