Amy Gledhill

Amy Gledhill is a rising talent whose work spans stand-up, sketch comedy, TV, radio, and writer, known for her quirky humor and unique style of comedy. She is a successful solo performer as well as one half of the award-winning double act The Delightful Sausage.  

Amy’s career began in sketch groups in the north of England. As part of the double act The Delightful Sausage, Amy was nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s Comedy Awards. Since she has appeared in shows on the BBC and Chanel 4, appearing in the children’s sketch Big Fat Like which was aired on CBBC. Amy is a three time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and the only act to be nominated twice in one year. She is an experienced live performer after embarking on her own national tour with her hit show Make Me Look Good On The Poster, and selling out the Soho Theatre. She also performed at the Edinburgh fringe festival in her show The Girl Before the Girl You Marry. Amy made her solo show debut at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with The Girl Before The Girl You Marry. 

As well as her live performing Amy has also starred in popular TV shows such as Sex Education and Starstruck, as well as appearing as a guest in the BBC comedy show Would I Lie to you. On radio, Amy has been involved in BBC Radio 4’s programming contributing to sketch shows and comedic narratives. She is well known for her witty observation and ability to switch between different comedy styles. In addition to her performances, Amy is a skilled writer, contributing to various television projects, such as Blankety Blank, as well as co-hosting the hit podcast Northern News which was featured in The Guardian’s Best Podcasts of 2023 so far.
