Amrit Chandan

Amrit Chandan is an entrepreneur and keynote speaker who believes that business is a key part of rehabilitating the planet for future generations. As the Co-Founder and CEO of Aceleron, Amrit is helping to reduce the environmental issues associated with energy production and storage. Upon graduating from the University of Birmingham top of his class in BSc Chemistry, Amrit then went on to complete his PhD in Chemical Engineering where he worked alongside TATA Motors to develop and optimise the membrane of Hydrogen Fuel Cells in the bid to help reduce the carbon emissions of the planet. After completing his PhD in 2014, Amrit then became a Technical Specialist in Low Carbon Vehicles for Cenex and was a Director for Blue Vine Consultants. Amrit is also a Fellow for Unreasonable, an organisation that is committed to supporting budding entrepreneurs who are positioned to help mould history in the right direction.

As a testament to his knowledge within his field, Amrit was an Appointed Committee Member for The Royal Society, and is currently a Schott Scale Up Accelerator Selection Committee for the Royal Academy of Engineering and an Advisory Board Member for Stronger Stories. In 2016 Amrit Co-Founded Aceleron – a company which is revolutionising traditional battery manufacture by creating advanced lithium-ion batteries. In recognition of Amrit’s leading work, he was named BQ’s Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year 2014, Named Forbes 30 Under 30, and awarded the Hawley Award for Engineering Innovation.
