Professional English rugby union player, Alex Goode is the current fullback for Saracens FC who play in the Premiership league. Throughout his junior career, Alex played in various schools athletic finals, county tennis and was even part of Ipswich Town football academy. He played for both Bath Rugby and Cambridge RUFC in the very early stages of his rugby career as a fly-half but when he first moved to Saracens at academy level, he eventually moved to full-back which very quickly developed him into an all-rounder player.
On top of an impressive club career, Alex has also enjoyed a highly successful international career. Having represented England at both 16A and Under 18 level, he played in key games including the Under 19 Rugby World Championships in 2007 and the 2008 IRB Junior World Championships before making his senior debut in 2009. Some of his international highlights include being voted QBE Man of the Match after Englands 54-12 victory over Fiji and representing England at the 2013 Six Nations Championships.
Goode has been capped by England a total of 21 times and has made over 280 appearances for Saracens. Most recently, he has been a key member of the Saracens squad that secured second place in the Aviva and Gallagher Premiership. He was also been named the European Player of the Year by EPCR in January 2019.
