Alastair Kellock

Former Scottish rugby union player, Alastair Kellock is best known as a lock player for the Glasgow Warriors. Having played at peak performance in some of the most stressful rugby games, Alastair is the ideal speaker for giving tips on performing under pressure and overcoming setbacks as well as also offering advice on effective teamwork and leadership.

A rugby career that began at Allan Glen’s and Stirling County, Alastair became a professional player when we first joined Edinburgh Rugby in 2002. He moved to Glasgow Warriors in 2006 where he remained the captain for 11 years.

Some of his career highlights include making his international debut against Australia in 2004 and becoming the captain of the team that made history in a victory over the renowned Australian team in 2009. Having proved himself as a skilled captain, Kellock went onto to lead Scotland through the 2011 Six Nations Championships and the 2011 Rugby World Cup before receiving an invitation to captain the renowned Barbarians in a match against Australia.

Most recently, Alastair has led Glasgow to win the first major trophy won by a professional Scottish team in the 2014-15 Pro12 after being named in the Pro12 Dream Team in two prior seasons. Kellock has also ventured into the pundit career and has offered his commentary to RTE during the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
