Adam Smith

Adam Smith is one of the most recognisable faces in British sports broadcasting and a highly accomplished host. As a Presenter at Sky Sports, he has built a reputation for authority, warmth and sharp insight across football coverage, live events and major international tournaments. His standout achievement came as Host of ‘The Official England Podcast’ during Euro 2020, broadcasting daily from inside the England camp as the team reached the final, with the show climbing to number one in the UK Apple Sports Charts. Adam combines elite access with natural storytelling, making him a compelling voice on leadership, performance and resilience.

Adam’s journey into broadcasting began at Loughborough University, where he completed a BSc in Sports Science and Management, graduating with a 2:1 and achieving a first-class distinction for his dissertation examining football coverage. He was an active member of the university’s men’s football team and earned the Loughborough University Manager’s Player of the Year Award in 2006. His professional career took shape at Sky Sports on ‘Soccer AM’, where he spent nearly a decade as an Associate Producer and Presenter. During this time, Adam developed hands-on expertise in live television, scripting, directing, editing and talent management, building the creative confidence and composure that now define his work on screen.

Since 2015, Adam has been a leading figure as a Sky Sports Presenter, hosting flagship programmes including ‘Goals on Sunday’, ‘Saturday Social’, ‘The Debate’ and ‘Budweiser’s Kings of the Premier League’.
