An emotional final saw fourteen million viewers tune in to watch Candice be named the winner of the Great British Bake off, a testament to her ingenuity in the kitchen. Prior to making her BBC debut, Candice developed her passion for baking at the young age of four. Learning from her inspirational mother and grandmother in the kitchen, Candice grew in confidence and her natural talent for creating flaky pastry and airy cakes was undeniable. Until her appearance on the Bake Off, Candice’s culinary skills were only a hobby as she worked as a full time PE teacher for her career, a job which she subsequently left after her win, to pursue her dream of professional baking.

An overnight success, the stylish baker was soon in high demand to appear on daytime television and breakfast shows. Now Candice balances her on screen roles on the likes of This Morning and Loose Women with live baking demonstrations at events such as The Cake and Bake Show and Foodie Festival. In addition, she released her debut cookbook ‘Comfort: Delicious Bakes and Family Treats’ in 2017, and regularly contributes as a columnist for The Sunday Times.
