Rebecca Bell

British Dressage Rider

Rebecca Bell is a British Dressage rider, based in Oxfordshire. She was a European Pony team bronze medallist in 2013, a European Pony team silver medallist in 2014 and part of the first British team in history to win a team gold medal at any Youth European Dressage Championship in history in 2015. Rebecca was part of the 2o16 Junior European team in her first year at the level.

In 2012, she competed at Pony FEI level. She started slowly, scoring 61% on her first try. Slowly, she began to get the hang of things, and contested some Premier League shows, gaining confidence each time she entered the arena. In the summer of 2012. Since then, she has made a huge improvement in her freestyle. 2013 was a great year for her, she got the opportunity to compete at several internationals with both of her ponies and she won a class at Addington CDI and also one at Saumur.

After some good results during the 2013 season, she was selected as a reserve for the 2013 European Championships. In 2014 Rebecca had some good placings with both ponies at Internationals early on in the year and earned a place on the team for the Pony European Championships in Ireland. The Europeans were even more successful for Team GBR than the year before- any combination of the four scores would have been sufficient to win the Silver medal in the team competition.

2015 was a successful year for Rebecca with both ponies gaining good scores at Addington CDI. She was part of the first ever Gold medal winning British Pony Dressage team at the European Championships. Finishing her pony career on a high with an unbelievable week at the Vienna Masters in September, winning a class and coming second in two.
