Carl Llewellyn is one of racing’s most successful jockeys, especially at the Grand National. His two victories in racing’s biggest steeplechase make him a King of Aintree. A wonderful horse racing speaker, Carl has experienced winning at the highest level of his sport, making him part of an exclusive group of riding greats as well as a well-respected horse racing speaker.
Llewellyn won the Grand National on the aptly-named Party Politics just two days after the General Election in 1992 and in 1998 aboard Earth Summit. On both occasions, he had stepped in for an injured jockey.
Carl showed his ability to perform under pressure in the heated environment of horse racing, a skill Llewellyn talks of at length as a horse racing speaker as it is applicable to a number of environments, including both business and social scenarios.
Away from Aintree, Llewellyn enjoyed his greatest success in partnership with Beau at the Whitbread Gold Cup. The pair won the Sandown event in 2000 by the biggest winning margin in the race’s history.
If you are having a Corporate Day out at the races why not book Carl to host and enhance the day. Carl will take you and your customers through the day’s card highlighting key facts and hopefully finding a few winners for your guests to take a punt on.
Let Carl explain the different type of races from Novice Hurdles right through to The Cheltenham Gold Cup. Find out how the complex handicap system works and the significance of a horse’s rating. Carl is available to answer any other questions, enhancing your understanding of racing and adding to the enjoyment of the day.
Whether you hire Carl as an after dinner speaker or as a host during race days at your events, you are sure to have an ideal sporting character to guide you through the finer details of the sport and inspire others to achieve their goals in life.
