World renowned cricket speaker Geraint Jones is a Papua New Guinean-born wicket keeper who was raised in Australia and of Welsh descent, spending time playing for both the England and Papua New Guinean national teams Geraint Jones is one of the most celebrated cricketers of recent years. Continuing to work as a professional cricketer Jones is also a prolific sports speaker and available for hire for sporting, corporate and charity after dinner speaker events.

Jones made his Test cricket debut in 2004 and spent the next two years as the first choice wicket keeper for England at both Test and One Day International games. Geraint achieved his first Test match century less than a year into his Test match career and has continued this success in his domestic career. Though he was replaced as wicket keeper for England by cricket speaker and Brit Chris Read Geraint Jones continues to play on PNG’s national team.

Also boasting a successful domestic career Geraint Jones has worked as a cricket speaker and player for British teams Gloucestershire and Kent. Jones spent more than ten years with Kent, in squad number 9 and achieved his career best T20 score whilst with the Spitfires in 2009. As of 2015 Geraint Jones has acted as the captain and team sports speaker for Gloucestershire, where he will play alongside Hamish Marshall and Michael Beard.

Now based in the UK Geraint Jones works as an after dinner speaker in both England and Wales, appearing at sporting and educational events as well as corporate and charity fundraising functions.
