Carl Froch

Boxing sensation Carl Froch is one of Britain’s brightest sporting stars. As a four-time world champion, current unified IBF and WBA super-middleweight champion and former two-time WBC super-middleweight champion, Froch boasts an impressive professional career, having proved himself as a knockout in the boxing world.

As an amateur, Froch picked up his first medal claiming Bronze at the 2001 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Belfast, Northern Ireland, before he turned over to the professional game alongside his current trainer Robert McCracken, who guided the Great Britain boxing team at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Froch obtained his first professional title in his tenth fight with a seventh-round stoppage over Alan Page, which netted him the English Super-Middleweight belt in November 2003. Further accolades were then fast to follow, as Froch added the Commonwealth title in April 2004 with the British title following in his second defence of his Commonwealth strap.

The boxing sensation impressively maintained the British title for over four years and held onto the Commonwealth title for just under two years. Froch has been privileged to a number of outstanding fights during his career vs. some formidable opponents including; Mikkel Kessler, Lucian Bute, Andre Ward and not forgetting the huge domestic showdown with George Groves, leaving the boxing star armed with an array of anecdotal stories to excite and enthral any audience.
