Trisha Goddard is a globally recognised TV presenter and news broadcaster, best known for hosting her talk shows, 'Trisha' on ITV and Channel 5 and 'The Trisha Goddard Show' on NBC. She is also a strong mental health campaigner who served as an Australian Government Advisor on Mental Health for over a decade. Drawing from her successful broadcasting career spanning more than 35 years, Trisha is a passionate and powerful communicator who facilitates open and honest conversations.
Starting her career as a flight attendant, Trisha’s broadcasting career was launched in Sydney as a journalist and news anchor for ABC, making history as the country’s first black female broadcaster in the field. She co-hosted the popular children’s series ‘Play School’ and current affairs programme ‘The 7:30 Report’ for 12 years. During this time, Trisha also founded her own production company, C’est La Vie Productions. Moving to the UK, Trisha launched her own daytime talk show, 'Trisha' on ITV and later moved to Channel 5, having open discussions around mental health and social issues. Expanding into a new market, she was a conflict resolution expert for the talk show 'Maury' in the US before being given her own show, ‘The Trisha Goddard Show’ on NBC. In 2022, she joined TalkTV and hosted a show developed around the themes of representation and mental health. Her return to the UK screens also included hosting the latest series of 'You Are What You Eat' on Channel 5.
A well-known figure in the media, Trisha has appeared on popular TV shows, including Dancing on Ice, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Piers Morgan’s Life Stories and most recently Celebrity Big Brother. She has also contributed to a range of publications, including The Times, Sydney Morning Herald, Woman’s Weekly, and EDP Magazine. She is also the co-author of ‘The Family Survival Guide’ and has written two autobiographies. Rooted in personal experience, Trisha is a mental health advocate who has served in several international roles, including Chair of the Australian National Mental Health Anti-Stigma Campaign, Patron of MIND Norwich and member of the World Psychiatric Association Working Party on Mental Health Stigma. Trisha’s commitment to mental health has been recognised with the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ President’s Medal.
