Highly educated, Shalabh holds multiple degrees, including a BBA in Marketing/Marketing Management from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya University, an Advanced Diploma in Software Applications in Computer Software and Media from Tata Infotech, and an MBA in Marketing from Technology and Management Jobs. In 2002, Shalabh joined OTOMS as a Sales Manager, moving on to work as a Senior Executive in Marketing at Globus Stores Pvt Ltd. This was followed by the role of Regional Marketing Manager at Lifestyle before joining ICICI Bank as a Manager in Credit Card Usage.
In 2008, Shalabh landed the role of AVP and Proposition Manager at Barclays Bank, where he was responsible for developing alternative acquisition and marketing mediums using the Internet. He then joined Emirates NBD as Product Manager for Cards, helping to grow receivables and profitability. Having accumulated substantial experience in FinTech and PayTech, Shalabh was selected for Director of Premium Middle East and Northern Africa for Visa. Over the next few years, he grew the premium portfolio before being elevated to Director of Cross Border Marketing, CEMEA at Visa. In 2019, Shalabh joined RAKBANK as Head of Products-Card Issuing, then Business Head of Cards.
Throughout his illustrious career, Shalabh has delivered hallmark payment products and solutions for leading institutions and has trained over 11,000 people.
